My God Is… Mission Minded.

So mine will be a life offered… As I wrote this I am just hours away from boarding a plane to Guadalajara. I will be joining a missions team there. I will have the opportunity to speak God’s Truth into the lives of the women there at a “Secure in Christ” Women’s Conference. I am humbled and honored to be able to travel to these women and speak encouragement into their hearts. As I am preparing, I went back to read my post from this same day last year. This is what I found –

Romans 12:1

(NLT) And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

(NKJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

(NASB) Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

A life offered…

Worship is so much more than singing. Worship is a way of life – a day and night lifting of my heart and mind to serve and please Him.

My journal entry on this verse –

Lord,

Thank You for the great mercy You have shown in my life. Thank You for never giving up on me. Thank You for waiting patiently for me to return to You when I lost my way. Thank You for extending me grace and lifting me up when I turned my face to You. Thank You, God…

Offering – Help me to live in light of my gratitude of all that You have given me. Let me offer all of me to You. Use my hands to offer kindness. Use my words to encourage. Use my strength to assist. Take every part of me, Lord, and use it as an instrument for Your good.

Keep me protected and safe from things that could derail me. Keep my feet from walking towards any temptation. Keep my thoughts pure so that I can use all that I have to serve You. Keep my mind focused through the reading of Your Word so that I can be wholly prepared.

Sacrifice – Prune me and mold me, God, so that I can bring forth a sacrifice that is pleasing. Take my life. Let it be set apart for You. Help me to take the best of me and give it back to You. Help me to lay down my pride and my selfishness so that I can see what needs to be offered. Let me give freely without holding back. Let me live my life with my hands open, my heart soft, and my eyes seeking those in need.

Worship – Help me to worship You with all of me. Let my words bring You joy. Let my actions bring You glory. Let my service bring Your grace to those around me. Let my whole life offer You praise!

Help me to be a wife who worships You as I speak to my husband. Help me to be a mom who worships You as I teach my kids. Help me to be a friend who worships You as I encourage another. Help me to be a neighbor who worships You as I lend a hand. Help me to live a life continually offered to You in worship.

Lord, let me offer you my first and my best each day.

In Your Sweet Name, AMEN!

I would so value your prayers as I go and minister to the women in Guadalajara. You can go with me in heart as you lift your prayers to the ears of our King. If you want to hear more about how my journey to Guadalajara came about you can read it here. I will be posting updates during my trip on my Facebook page while I am there.

Remember, the mission field for some is in our own backyard. Consider inviting a friend to join you in this challenge by adding them to the group and sharing this link.

Let our lives be all about Him… God has used this song in some very ways as He has taught me to trust Him. I hope it will bless you today.
