Do you ever feel like no one is listening? I know I sure do. As a mom, I sometimes feel like I have to say things 3 and 4 times in order to get a response. Even as wife, a sister and a friend, sometimes I feel like my words just don’t get through to the person I’m talking to. But, as a woman of faith, I am deeply encouraged to know that I have a God who listens. He HEARS me…. In fact, he loves to hear my voice.

My favorite portion of toady’s reading is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14-15.

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.

As I read these words, I am reminded that the HOLY ONE HEARS me. He is “attentive” to me, He does not ignore me. He invites me to lift my voice. He wants me to speak my mind. He desires to hear my praise. He loves when I confess. He promises to restore me when I humbly come before Him.

Let these words of Truth, wash over your heart and soul today. Accept His invitation to come to Him in prayer.

Today, my words to you are few – so, that you can go before your God in prayer. My CHALLENGE to YOU TODAY – is to spend at least 5-10 minutes in quiet prayer. I encourage you to start your time lifting words of praise to Him. Don’t miss the chance to be heard by the One True God who sits enthroned waiting to HEAR your voice. Lift praise. Lift cares. Lift concerns. Lift your heart to Him. Because, the HOLY ONE HEARS you.

Let this song prepare your heart for your time with Him.
